Charge Motion along a Polynucleotide Chains in a Constant Electric Field Depends on the Charge Coupling Constant with Chain Displacements

چکیده
Various regimes of a charge motion along chain in constant electric field are investigated. This is simulated on the basis Holstein model. Earlier studies demonstrate possibility uniform over very long distances. For small values intensity polaron can move at velocity. As increases, acquires oscillatorily character, performing Bloch oscillations. Since depends whole set system parameters character not only value intensity. Therefore, for which takes place differs chains with different parameters. The and distribution considered coupling between displacements chain. It shown that regime changes constant. also demonstrated one same intensity, either or an oscillatory motion, stationary be observed.

متن کاملCharge-dependence of the πNN coupling constant and charge-dependence of the NN interaction
The recent determination of the charged πNN coupling constant, gπ± , by the Uppsala Neutron Research Group implies that there may be considerable charge-splitting of the pion coupling constant. We investigate the consequences of this for the charge-independence breaking (CIB) of the 1S0 scattering length, ∆aCIB. We find that ∆aCIB depends sensitively on the difference between gπ± and the neutra...
متن کاملBistability in the Electric Current through a Quantum-Dot Capacitively Coupled to a Charge-Qubit
We investigate the electronic transport through a single-level quantum-dot which is capacitively coupled to a charge-qubit. By employing the method of nonequilibrium Green's functions, we calculate the electric current through quantum dot at finite bias voltages. The Green's functions and self-energies of the system are calculated perturbatively and self-consistently to the second order of inte...
متن کاملRelativistic Motion in a Constant Electromagnetic Field
For a relativistic charged particle moving in a constant electromagnetic field, its velocity 4-vector has been well studied. However, despite the fact that both the electromagnetic field and the equations of motion are purely real, the resulting 4-velocity is seemingly due to a complex electromagnetic field. This work shows that this is not due to some complex formalism used (such as Clifford a...
متن کاملMass and Coupling Constant Limits from Convergence Conditions on the Effective Charge in QED
The massless fermion limit of QED is discussed. For on-shell renormalisation the high energy behaviour fixes no lower limit on the mass of the lightest fermion if the fine structure constant α is allowed to vary. The choice of an arbitary (spacelike) subtraction point does, however, fix a lower limit on the mass of the lightest fermion, for any subtraction scale μ, if the effective charge α (μ)...
